Adventure with purpose.

Adventure with a purpose means to support those that make this project possible. Living Lands & Waters has been cleaning up the Mississippi River since 1998. Each member of Team Race to the Gulf has benefitted from their work - and now its our job to share their story.  Land trusts and watershed conservancies all over the nation work hard to protect our wilderness areas and clean up decades pollution and conservation indifference - making it possible for everyone to enjoy outdoor recreation and our natural resources.

Living Lands & Waters

Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world. Follow this link and support the good work they do!

Sycamore Land Trust

Sycamore Land Trust protects and restores the beautiful natural heritage of southern Indiana. Their nature preserves offer opportunities for outdoor recreation and environmental education. As of January 2017, they have protected 100 properties totaling more than 9,000 acres.

Oak Heritage Conservancy

Their mission is to preserve, protect, and conserve land and water resources that have special natural, agricultural, scenic, or cultural significance. OHC strives to educate the public about the critical importance of honoring land, water, and local culture. We will protect land so future generations can enjoy the rural landscapes of southeastern Indiana.

1 Mississippi was established in 2009 to organize people dedicated to protecting the Mississippi River into a national constituency of River Citizens. The Nature Conservancy

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends - including the Mississippi River!

At Columbia Land Trust, what they do is simple: They conserve and care for the heart of the Northwest, the places that make it an incredible region to live, work, raise a family, and grow old in. Wetlands and oak woodlands. Columbia River tributaries and Columbia River shores. Forests both wild and working. Natural areas in urban strongholds and wide-open spaces that anchor rural communities.
